About LeelaWorks

Each article on this blog follows a consistent structure as given below, sothat readers know what unfolds next as they move through the work.

  • Artwork – the visual piece itself.
  • Understanding the Artwork – a brief explanation of what the artwork represents.
  • Story Behind the Artwork – how the idea first appeared and how the design evolved.
  • Concept Behind the Artwork – the broader human themes the artwork connects to, from emotions and experiences to culture, society, and the environment.
  • Where You Can Find the Artwork – links to explore the design as products in my Redbubble shop.
  • Final Reflection – a closing thought that brings the idea together.

LeelaWorks is not only about showing artwork. It is about exploring the ideas and thoughts behind them in a broader sense.

About the Artist

I am Praveen Domle, PhD – an academic administrator by profession, and a conceptual designer by discipline and practice.
My work in academia has shaped my approach to design — structured, reflective, and intentional.

Design, for me, is not separate from life or work. It is a parallel practice
I believe meaningful creation emerges from attentive observation- seeing connections where others see fragments. As a conceptual designer, I explore social ideas, memory, and symbolism through visual form.

Thus, finding and establishing relationships between shapes, symbols, and structures.

Dedication

This work is dedicated to my grandmother – Leela Ganpatrao Domle

She lost her husband at a young age but chose not to remarry. A selfless and spiritual soul, served others to earn for the family; hiding all struggles, sacrifices and sorrows behind a calm smile. Watching my grandmother work silently in other people’s homes, I understood something that scriptures teach but life explains better — work itself is a form of prayer.

She also had the rare ability to turn simple, discarded things into something useful and beautiful. And her creativity shaped mine. Her life was not a story of poverty, but a story of the dignity of labour. LeelaWorks carries her name not as memory alone, but as continuation.

That’s why it is LeelaWorks- present, ongoing, alive …
